Angus Hutcheson is a British designer based in Thailand for the last fifteen years, dedicated to working with light.
Forging new forms, using materials that were to hand, many of them natural, the Ango collection was gradually built up, and gained recognition in Thailand and internationally, with a string of awards
and special pieces being shown at the Museum of Arts and Design in New York, the Hara Museum in Tokyo, and V.I.A in Paris.
Angus Hutcheson graduated in architecture with Honours at the Architectural Association in London.
Familiar with ecological innovative production processes, Angus Hutcheson, supports your project realization step by step.

Working at the intersection between design, materials development and innovative production processes, all of the light diffuser materials we work with has its own character and is either a “found” natural one, or a composite / natural material developed by experimentation. We observe and investigate what’s possible with sometimes accidental or unpredicted outcomes.

Materials
Environmentally responsible design and production low impact/ low energy processes represent a view of how dedicated to our principles we can remain even when realizing the production.
Sometimes Ango follows structures unveiled by the nature, to create their own designs.
Each material has its own character, so Ango Team concentrates on creating the diffuser that is unique in how it refracts and reflects light. Ango Team forges new forms, often using materials that were to hand, many of them natural.
Ango Team uses Silk cocoons, Mulberry tree bark, Rattan, Hand cast polymer, Hand soldered wire matrix interwoven metalised thread, to create light fittings that are outstanding.
